Month 1 at the AI Lab: From Paint Cans to Python
Month 1 - renovating the space, hosting our first STL AI Meetup, and welcoming high school coders to learn Python.
STL AI Meetup: The Rhizocorp
On January 27th, with snow falling outside our garage door, we hosted our first official event - the St. Louis Generative AI Lab Meetup. Alex Mueller presented "The Rhizocorp and the Future of Megacorporate Management," exploring how AI might transform how large organizations coordinate and share information. The turnout was fantastic, with techies filling the space for an evening of full of ideas and talking shop. There's another hands-on session Feb 24.
High School Vibe-Coders
One of our proudest moments this month was hosting a group of Vianney high school students. We helped them get up and running with Python and Cursor to make a school project go to the next level (actually, to Mars!). Looking forward to more coding sessions with Kyle, Joe, and Francesco. AI Lab Coworking is free for all students.
The Renovation Journey
January started with an empty shell and a vision. Friends and family showed up in force to transform the space. We painted, fixed the ceiling panels, hung whiteboards and assembled furniture.
Making a place where people can get stuff done and talk shop has been really exciting for me and we are just getting started!
